The Waterhouse Computer Center Wall of Honor displays the generous donors.
On Friday, June 1st, 2001 Immaculate Conception School had a Dedication and Blessing Ceremony celebrating the opening of its new, state-of-the-art Computer Center. The Waterhouse Computer Center was made possible by the generous donation of Mr. Lawrence M. Waterhouse, Jr., class of 1951, in memory of Dr. and Mrs. Lawrence M. Waterhouse and Family.
His extremely generous donation paid for the entire reconstruction of the old balcony, which was converted into a music room many years ago. At the time, Nineteen state-of-the-art Gateway computers, a color laser printer, several scanners, color ink printers, large electric screen, 27″ color TV with VCR, and a projector were installed. Currently, there are twenty computers with flat screen monitors, 3 large color printers, scanners, interactive whiteboard, and a wireless slate writer. All of the peripherals are teaching tools for our classes. The room is absolutely beautiful.

The Dedication and Blessing opened with tours of the school, followed by the blessing of the Alumni Wall of Honor by Father Tom Joyce. This wall was made possible through the donations of close to one hundred alumni and has their names or the names of loved ones in leaves, double leaves, small and large doves. This dedication was followed by a ribbon cutting ceremony by Mr. Lawrence Waterhouse and his sister Winifred, the blessing and the dedication of the computer room, and several speeches and presentation. Then, students from Pre-kindergarten through 8th grade gave demonstrations of the computer programs they have learned. The program was concluded by a wonderful concert by our Chorus under the leadership of Mr. Ed Burkard. A reception in the parish hall for the 120-130 guests and alumni concluded this festive occasion.
